A prequel to The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal , this thriller completes the trilogy of Hannibal ''The Cannibal'' Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). Originally filmed in 1986 as Manhunter (starring Brian Cox as Lecter and William L. Petersen as FBI Agent Will Graham), this new version of the story tracks the lawman (Edward Norton) who captured Hannibal as he hunts down another notorious serial killer named Francis Dolarhyde (Ralph Fiennes). To aid in his search, he uses the psychological observations of Lecter and the resources of mentor/FBI head Jack Crawford (Harvey Keitel).
