Biography
Susan Misner first moved from Paterson, NJ to New York to pursue a career on Broadway, where she secured parts in high-profile revivals of classic shows such as "Guys and Dolls" and "How To Succeed in the Business Without Really Trying." This love of dance helped her win her first film role in Woody Allen's musical "Everyone Says I Love You" (1997), which opened up a successful film and TV acting career. In 1999, she landed the role of Grace Davidson on long-running soap opera "One Life to Live" (ABC 1968-2012); like so many soap characters before her, Grace died on her wedding day. This experience led to even more TV work including guest-star roles on "Sex and the City" (HBO 1998-2004), "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS 2000-15) and "Law & Order: Special Victim Unit" (NBC 1999- ). Her Broadway background gave her a leg up for a part in the Oscar-winning film of hit musical "Chicago" (2002) where she can be seen in the "Cell Block Tango" routine with Catherine Zeta Jones. She continued to work in film, including roles in "The Hoax" (2006) and "Gigantic" (2008), but Misner became a more regular face on TV with recurring roles in a number of hit shows such as "Rescue Me" (FX 2004-2011), "Gossip Girl" (CW 2007-2012), "In Treatment" (HBO 2008-2010), "The Good Wife" (CBS 2009-16), "Person of Interest" (CBS 2011-16) and "Nashville" (ABC 2012- ). In 2013, Misner found her first co-starring role in prime time when she joined the Cold War-era spy drama "The Americans" (FX 2013-), playing Sandra Beeman, wife of tenacious FBI agent Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich).
