Biography
Rose McIver was a stunning New Zealand-born actress with a grace and professionalism exceeding her years. She was best known for appearing in "The Lovely Bones" (2009) and "Petals on the Wind" (2014), as well as the TV shows "Masters of Sex" (Showtime 2013- ) and "Once Upon A Time" (ABC 2011- ). McIver was born on October 10, 1988 in Auckland, New Zealand to artistic parents. Her childhood was theatrical; she studied ballet and jazz dance and began appearing in commercials at age two. At three, she played an angel in the critically acclaimed Jane Campion indie drama "The Piano" (1993). She attended the University of Auckland, though she took time off to pursue acting, eventually completing her degree at Avondale College. She appeared on a large number of television series in her New Zealand, in addition to some Disney Channel movies and a role as the yellow Power Ranger on "Power Rangers: RPM" (ABC 2009). Her first big role came with Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones," in which she played the younger sister of a murdered teenager. McIver was cast as the lead in the pilot of a sassy adaptation of the young adult novel "Cassandra French's Finishing School for Boys" (MTV 2012), but the series was not picked up. McIver consoled herself with a pair of high-profile recurring roles on critically-acclaimed series, playing Tinkerbell in the fantasy "Once Upon a Time" and as Vivian, the teenage daughter of a repressed married couple played by Beau Bridges and Allison Janney on the fact-based period piece "Masters of Sex." This was followed by her first starring role, in Rob Thomas' comedic crime drama "iZombie" (CW 2015- ). McIver played Liv Moore, a newly-zombified morgue attendant who learns the secrets of murder victims through eating their brains.
