Lolita (Vidya Balan) lives with her financially strapped uncle. Since childhood, she has been in love with her next-door neighbor, Shekhar (Saif Ali Khan), whose father, Navinchandra (Sabyasachi Chakraborty), is a wealthy but heartless businessman.
