Northern Lights: A Journey to Love is the story of Charlie Sr. (Piolo Pascual), a Filipino immigrant in Alaska who is living the life of a carefree playboy. His life changes when he is tasked to take care of his son, Charlie Jr. (Raikko Mateo), whom he had left behind in the Philippines. As he struggles to become a real father to his son, Charlie Sr. crosses paths with Angel (Yen Santos), a quirky but broken Filipina who sets foot in Alaska to search for her mother.
