When asked what happened to an exuberant extra in Brazil who suddenly ran into the shot and hugged Robert Pattinson, director Bill Condon joked, "… I think she was beheaded, because I did ask like two hours later 'What happened to her?' and everyone was like 'I don't know!' "

Unlike the previous movies in the Twilight Saga that were shot in and around Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, British Columbia, Breaking Dawn was predominantly shot at the Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Kellan Lutz who plays Emmett Cullen and Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen were friends long before they were cast in their Twilight Saga roles. Even though people ask if they are dating, they are just good friends. Greene recently told Allure magazine, "Kellan and I have been best friends since before Twilight. People used to say, 'Oh, you have to be romantically involved, you have to be.' But now I think they really get it."
Mia Maestro who plays Carmen of the Denali coven will be on the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 soundtrack. The song is entitled Lloverá (It Will Rain), and it marks the first time a Spanish language song has been included on the soundtrack. This is only the second time a cast member appears on a Twilight Saga soundtrack. Back in 2008, Robert Pattinson was featured on the Twilight soundtrack with Never Think.

Author Stephenie Meyer dedicated the novel Breaking Dawn to her favorite band, Muse, writing, "And thanks also to my favorite band, the very aptly named Muse, for providing a saga's worth of inspiration." The band is notably absent from the Breaking Dawn- Part 1 soundtrack having been the only group or artist to be on the previous three soundtracks.

Despite the fact that Taylor Lautner plays a character that walks around shirtless in the cold weather and transforms into a wolf, he still finds Jacob Black easy to relate to. He recently told Seventeen Magazine, "I can definitely relate to Jacob's feelings in Breaking Dawn. When he gets the invitation to the wedding, he doesn't handle it very well. And I don't think I would either. If I were in love with a girl and she told me she was marrying somebody else, that would crush me. And that's what it does. It destroys Jacob."

Robert Pattinson's cast mates have long talked about his lack of coordination. When he had to maneuver a speedboat in Brazil things didn't go very well. Kristen Stewart had to assist to prevent them from crashing into a dock and other boats.
