It's not easy being a single mom.  But I'm sure it's better if you have your own hair and wardrobe people and on-set nannies.

Jodie Foster plays a working class, single mother raising a gifted child.  You know those DVDs that teach your baby to read?  This kid didn't need them.

Type A Career woman Diane Keaton finds herself looking at Plan B when she inherits a small toddler.  How do you like them apples?

Keri Russell takes out her stress by baking pies.  Wow, a trip to Marie Callendar's sounds really good right about now.

Kirstie Alley is a single mother to a talking baby.  Um, sounds like a creepy horror flick to me.

Single mom Renee Zellwegger completes Tom Cruise in this 1996 movie.  Because, you know, he had her at "Hello."

Julia Roberts plays a single mother of three children.  Oh, and she wears a really epic push-up bra.

Dee Wallace is a single mom with hands full raising three kids.  So much so that she doesn't seem to notice there's an alien living in the house.

Jodie plays another strong, single mom in this stressfest thriller also starring a very young Kristen Stewart.  Seriously, you will barely recognize her.

Raising a kid on your own is hard enough but when he sees dead people?  You know that's gotta be even harder.

The TV show "Alice" was based on this 1974 comedy/drama starring Ellen Burstyn as a widow with a teenage son.  Diane Ladd stars as the waitress, Flo.

Jodie Foster has apparently cornered the market on strong, single mothers.  In this 2005 thriller, she stars as a parent whose young daughter vanishes on an airplane.  Um, creepy!

While watching this movie, you will most probably have intense cravings for chocolate.  So before you see it, get yourself some appropriate snackage.  Seriously.

Remember back when Winona Ryder was in everything?  Well, she played Cher's daughter in this 1990 flick.

Before the TV series, there was this movie classic starring Gene Tierney as a widowed mother who falls in love with a ghost.  Don't scoff, he was very dashing!
