Are you… A fan of '80s rom-coms, Tyler Perry movies and Kevin Hart, and mostly happy not to be in a relationship this Valentine's Day? Or, if you are happily coupled, ok to watch others generate some sparks - heated and otherwise - onscreen?

Go see… About Last Night, the African-American version of the 1980s movie of the same name starring Brat Packers Rob Lowe and Demi Moore, this time with Hart and Regina Hall as one of two couples questioning where their relationship is going. "Aww, puppies!"

Are you… A single guy? Male with a female significant other who's super cool like that and game for remakes of violent '80s movies? (Or maybe she's just hot for Joel Kinnaman?) Either way…

Go see… RoboCop, which by all accounts may not live up to the hyperviolent 1987 original starring Peter Weller, but puts its own smart, thought-out and flashy spin on it.

Are you…A fan of '80s teen romantic melodrama and pretty blonde-haired leads? Or a teenage romantic yourself? Female?

Go see… Endless Love, which stars blue-eyed blondes Gabriella Wilde and Alex Pettyfer as teens recklessly in love until – gasp! Tragedy strikes.

Are you…A fan of highbrow, potentially confusing fantasy that involves star-crossed lovers, good vs. evil and New York City? Will watch Russell Crowe or Colin Farrell in just about anything?

Go see… Winter's Tale, about star-crossed lovers, good vs. evil and New York City and starring Russell Crowe and Colin Farrell. Oh, and Will Smith.

Are you… A comic book movie fanboy who is understandably single, for reasons not the least of which is that you live in your mother's basement? A fan of well-done animation, with a subversive and anarchic sense of humor? Got kids? 

Go see… The Lego Movie, which has everything you and your inner or related nine-year-old could ever want: silly humor, underdog characters, fun tunes, and SUPERHERO LEGOS. C'mon!

Are you… A young adult/teenage girl with a vaguely dark side and a penchant for dark-haired Russians? Or—well, scratch the Russian thing. The Twilight books are your guilty pleasure and writing your own bad vamp-fic is in your future.

Go see… Vampire Academy, which looks to inject some life into the vampire genre as two 17-year-old half-human/half-vampire girls can't find security within their boarding school walls or without. And there's a cute, dark-haired guy named Dmitri, too.

Are you…Into art-heist pics, Nazi Germany and Matt Damon and/or George Clooney? Over 45 and comfortably married, maybe slightly "left behind" but okay with that? Record the History Channel on your VCR DVR?

Go see… The Monuments Men, in which both guys star as part of a frumpy, middle-aged team of art experts hunting down famous artworks stolen by the Nazis during WWII.

Are you… A borderline agoraphobe who enjoys crying into your Nicholas Sparks books and has an unhealthy attraction to macho bad boys who bake pies? Lonely?

Go see… Labor Day, a steamy potboiler that has Kate Winslet playing a troubled mother of a 13-year-old boy who falls for a convict after he breaks into her house, ties her up and feeds her peach tartlets.

Are you… A child of the '80s/'90s whose favorite romance is Jerry Maguire? In a (fairly) stable relationship and can giggle at a few F-bombs and shots of man ass?  Or do you have three supposedly single buddies to hit the club with after the movie?

Go see…That Awkward Moment, which leans heavier on the (b)romance than it does on the comedy, but ultimately gets the job done, in more ways than one.

Are you… Independent minded?

Go see… Tim's Vermeer, a fascinating documentary (rated 93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) by the comic magicians Penn & Teller about one inventor's epic research into the Dutch painter Vermeer's ability to paint incredibly photo-realistically 150 years before photography was invented.
