From Hulk to Yoda: 13 Favorite Green Characters

In honor of St. Patty's Day, we're going green with a look at the color's most famous Hollywood characters. From 'Guardians of the Galaxy' to 'The Muppets,' Hollywood has done the color proud. 

This iconic amphibian has had more TV and movie credits that most members of the Screen Actors Guild. A prolific star and household name, he’s been big since the '60s, but made a career resurgence in 2011 with ‘The Muppets.’

Jim Carrey hammed it up in this fantasy slapstick comedy, playing a mild-mannered introvert who discovers a magical mask that makes him the owner of the loudest zoot suit ever.

When the ‘Wizard of Oz’ premiered in 1939, it was notable for its use of Technicolor, including the vibrant green of Emerald City -- and actress Margaret Hamilton’s skin.

One of the most renowned and powerful masters in sci-fi history, Yoda is. 

This big green ogre won over the heart of a beautiful princess, who turned out to be a kind of big green ogre herself. Which was just fine with him.

The one-eyed star of ‘Monsters, Inc.’ (2001) and ‘Monsters University’ (2013) may not be traditionally scary, but -- okay, he’s not scary at all, but we still think he’s pretty cool.

Marvel’s giant rage monster (finally) got the big-screen treatment he deserved in ‘The Avengers,’ thanks to actor Mark Ruffalo and writer-director Joss Whedon bringing him and his gamma ray-powered temper to life.

The lovely Zoe Saldana played the assassin, Gamora, in Marvel's ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.' Fans can expect a sequel in 2017. 

Drax the Destroyer, played by former wrestler David Bautista in 2014’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ is a big, brawny brute hellbent on revenge and finding ways to take everything literally.
