We all have celebrity crushes. From our youth to the rest of our days, we become enamored with certain actors or actresses or other famous people who aren't screen stars -- probably not the same ones throughout our lives, as our tastes may change. And we all like to fantasize about the idea of going on a date with that person.
It's not that far-fetched. There are tons of famous people who are married to "normal" people. And movies like Notting Hill and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton have made it seem even more plausible that if only circumstances were right or luck were in our favor that we'd get at least that one evening of dinner and conversation.
So, who is your number one pick? America's sweetheart right now is Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence. That's got to be a popular pick for some of you. And while we're looking at Academy Awards contenders, how about Michael Fassbender or Bradley Cooper or Leonardo DiCaprio or the actual star of Notting Hill, Julia Roberts? There's also People magazine's current "Sexiest Man Alive," Adam Levine.
It's not always easy to know who would be an interesting date, though, and who would be just eye candy. For great conversation, perhaps your ideal celebrity date would be someone with the promise of intelligence, like Harvard grads Matt Damon and Natalie Portman or Brown alumni Emma Watson and John Krasinski.
Like to laugh on a date? Pick either one of the stars of Date Night, Steve Carrell or Tina Fey. Want to just have a certain accent rolling off the tongue only for you? How about Benedict Cumberbatch or Marion Cotillard?
Pretend that this February 14. You could choose any celebrity as your Valentine. Who would it be?
