Surprisingly enough, last weekend turned into a little bit of a brawl between the reigning champion Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and newcomer Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. What at first was deemed a tie eventually turned into Transformers winning by a very close amount ($42.3 million to Ice Age's $41.7 million). This week, as you folks continue to scarf up Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tickets ahead of its July 15th release, we have two pretty different comedies hitting theaters. Can either one finally knock Transformers out of the top spot? Let's take a look …

Bruno
What's the Scoop: Sacha Baron Cohen returns to theaters as another one of his wacky personalities; this time he's a gay Austrian fashion reporter who travels the globe embarrassing unsuspecting people with his wild antics.
Why It Might Win the Weekend: Folks went nuts when Borat hit theaters, and so most expect Bruno to do as much (or even more) business than its predecessor.

I Love You, Beth Cooper
What's the Scoop: Based on the very funny book, this one follows a nerdy valedictorian on one crazy night following a speech in which he professes his love to the most popular girl in school … in front of his entire class.
Why It Might Win the Weekend: The film is directed by Chris Columbus, who brought us other classic one-nighters like Adventures in Babysitting – and it's tailor-made for the high school crowd. Could be a sleeper hit …

This week my money is on Bruno taking the top spot away from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, though there's been a big marketing push for Beth Cooper, and so I wouldn't count her out. Sound off below on which movie you think will win the weekend.
