In our box office poll on Friday, we asked you how much you thought Paranormal Activity 2 would make in its opening weekend. Even though Jackass 3D had set an October record the previous weekend with $50 million, Fandango fans still thought the Paranormal Activity sequel would break even more records with 33% of you predicting the film would gross $50 million or higher in its opening weekend. Though it didn’t exactly get up that high, Paranormal Activity 2 still brought in a very respectable (especially for a non-3D movie) $41 million, making 16% of you voters victorious in your guesses.
Many early reviews claimed Paranormal Activity 2 was scarier than the original, and a few of you commented saying you thought it was just as freaky as the low-budgeted 2009 film. Now that a good majority of you may have seen the film over the weekend, we wanted to stop back in to see what the fans thought of the sequel. Was it scary? How many times did you jump out of your seat? Do you think they should make another sequel? And, finally, how do you think this one compares to the original: better or worse?
