Believe it or not, but 2009 was a fantastic year for animated films – so much so that a whopping 20 movies have been put up for Academy Awards consideration, making it so the category at the 2010 ceremony will include five films instead of three for the first time since 2002 (and only the second time in Academy Awards history).
