Every year the minds at Lucasfilm are known for sending these really fun, creative holiday cards to their coworkers, friends and family. They've been sending these cards for decades, and almost all of them feature Star Wars characters with Yoda and R2-D2 appearing more often than others.

This year Lucasfilm put together a short animated video for its holiday card, and not only is it an adorable watch, but it may also tease a future animated TV show starring R2-D2 and Chopper, the crazy new droid from Star Wars: Rebels. Heck, look at these two -- who wouldn't watch that? The only thing this card is missing is BB-8, the super-popular droid featured ever so briefly in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer, though something tells us BB-8 will make an appearance on next year's card right after the film hits theaters.

And for those familiar with the history of Lucasfilm's holiday cards, you may have noticed a shout-out to two previous cards hidden inside the video. See those two cards in the lower left corner? Those are animated versions of Lucasfilm's 1979 and 1981 cards, pictured below.
