The stakes have most definitely been raised in this first full trailer for the Divergent sequel, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, in theaters March 20.
In this highly anticipated follow-up, we pick up with Pris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) after they've become fugitives on the run from a ruthless, power-hungry enemy. Watch the trailer below.
Looks pretty good, eh? Just like The Hunger Games, the Divergent Series is quickly proving itself to be the next great female-driven franchise, with Shailene Woodley -- whom IMDb just named the top star of 2014 -- quickly becoming one of Hollywood's greatest actresses.
Aside from Woodley and James, the film also stars Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim, Naomi Watts and Kate Winslet.
The Divergent Series: Insurgent hits theaters on March 20. It’ll be followed by The Divergent Series: Allegiant Part 1 on March 18, 2016 and then Allegiant Part 2 on March 24, 2017.
