Last Days in the Desert: Ewan McGregor plays both Jesus and the Devil in Last Days in the Desert, which will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. It's inspired by "an imagined chapter from [Jesus'] 40 days of fasting and praying in the desert,” in which Jesus is tempted by the Devil. Fargo: Kirsten Dunst (Upside Down) and Jesse Plemons (Battleship) have been cast as a married couple in the second season of the highly acclaimed TV version of Fargo. They'll play a beautician and a butcher's assistant, respectively, who are dealing with the wife's desire for something more in her life. The second season of the anthology series, this time set in 1979, will debut on FX in the fall. [The Wrap]
Star Wars: Disney theme parks will soon be welcoming a new generation of attractions inspired by the Star Wars franchise. But the source will be the new sequels and spin-offs, not the first six films in the series, which are represented in the Star Tours: The Adventure Continues attraction (above). Disney chief Bob Iger says, "Now we have a sense of what’s in Star Wars 8, and what some of the stand-alone films will have in them," allowing the Disney team to design the new attractions accordingly.
