Now happily married, Bea (Rose Byrne) and Thomas (Domhnall Gleeson) decide to spend a weekend away from their farm in Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, leaving behind all their animal friends to enjoy their own fun and frolic. The frequently naughty Peter (James Corden), however, can't resist the temptation to take a self-guided personal trip to the big city and contemplate his own future, which inevitably results in a series of delightful, madcap adventures.

The first nine minutes of the film establish a gentle and playful atmosphere. We see firsthand the happy wedding, shared by joyful friends, including Peter Rabbit, his fellow rabbits and a host of other farm animals. Then we find ourselves a month later, as Bea and Thomas receive unexpected good news and Peter shows off the mischievous side of his personality.
