"He's stronger than any of us!"
"He's not stronger than all of us."
The final Fantastic Four trailer has arrived online only a couple days after it premiered in front of 6,500 fans inside the film's Hall H Comic-Con panel, and what this look at the film stresses above all else is that it's really a story about a family -- about four friends with extraordinary powers who must work together to save the world.
Check it out.
The new incarnation of the Fantastic Four looks darker and more grounded than the previous movies, tackling issues that include a government looking to exploit the foursome when it learns of their newfound powers. There is some humor in there, which is nice to see, and one thing stressed at the panel was that this is an origin story -- this is about the four before they become the iconic characters we know and love so well.
And if Fantastic Four does well, expect lots of talk about a potential crossover movie with the X-Men. Could we see that happen after X-Men: Apocalypse? What do you think?
Fantastic Four hits theaters on August 7, and it stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.
