Alfred Chin, known as Boogie, lives in New York City and harbors a passionate dream of playing professional basketball. His parents, however, urge him to focus on earning a scholarship to a prestigious university, his sporting rivals question his athletic abilities, his eye-catching new girlfriend Eleanor (Taylour Paige) draws his constant attention, and everyone else expects him to act like every other immigrant they've ever encountered.
Taylor Takahashi stars in the coming-of-age story as Boogie. In our exclusive clip, Boogie is riding in a car with his Uncle Jackie (Eddie Huang), who lays down some important, hard-earned life lessons to his nephew, from one generation to the next, as it were, concluding with a pointed reminder about the opportunities that have opened up to him.
