Before you immediately think that folks are scheming up a reality show based on real-life teenage vampires and werewolves, let me lay this one on straight: it’s not happening. While I’d personally love to see a reality show based on the lives of those who obsess over all things Twilight morning, noon and night, it seems producers have something else in mind.

WENN reports that producer Zig Gauthier wants to piece together a reality show based on Forks, Washington, which, as those Twi-hards out there probably already know, is the very real town where author Stephenie Meyer decided to set the Twilight series. Since the books and films have reached a level of ridiculous popularity, folks have been flocking to Forks to check out the place for themselves (even though no real-life vampire teens who look like Robert Pattinson actually live there).

In fact, the real-life Forks, which was hit pretty hard by the recession, has been taking full advantage of their newfound popularity by opening up themed gift shops and even restaurants based on the fictional locations in the book. And heck, more power to ‘em, right?
That said, I’m not so sure a reality show set in Forks would be all that interesting beyond an introductory episode. Are we really interested in recently laid-off small towners trying desperately to pay their mortgage by selling Robert Pattinson bobble heads on a street corner?

Okay, maybe that’s a little fascinating, but still – would any of you even watch such a show? Sound off below …
