Puss in Boots

Puss in Boots brings us the origins-esque story of the titular character voiced by Antonio Banderas as we see the events leading up to the sword fighting cat’s meeting with Shrek and friends. Joining him on his adventures are Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) and Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis). Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Taking a bold turn from Puss in Boots is this David Cronenberg directed drama starring Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen and Keira Knightley. This smart and scandalous trailer gives us a look at the intense relationship between Carl Jung (Fassbender) and Sigmund Freud (Mortensen) and a woman caught in the middle of the psychoanalysis (Knightley). Cronenberg previously directed Mortensen in the critically praised A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, though his most famous movie is probably still 1986’s The Fly with Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. Sony Pictures has been given the movie a tentative February 12th release date, though it’s been pushed back several times already. Nonetheless, check out the trailer below and let us know if you think this movie might generate some Oscar buzz.

Patrick Dempsey and Ashley Judd star in this comedy from the writers of The Hangover. While there won’t be any exotic animals or naked Asian men in this movie (we think), Flypaper does feature Dempsey as a man caught in the middle of two simultaneous robberies at the same bank. Judd plays the bank teller he’s secretly in love with. Flypaper premiered at Sundance this year and hits theaters August 19th.
