While his other film, The Master, is currently dominating the headlines and garnering a good amount of indie movie buzz, Philip Seymour Hoffman stars in another indie drama, A Late Quartet, slated to hit theaters on November 2. By then, The Master may be charging hard towards the Oscars finish line or be a distant memory.

A Late Quartet was directed by Yaron Zilberman and co-stars Christopher Walken, Mark Ivanir and Catherine Keener as a world-renowned string quartet whose 25th concert season is jeopardized by ego-driven infighting and personal tragedies.

The film was screened today at the Toronto Film Festival so until we hear initial reaction toward the film, check out this new trailer.
