Here are a bunch of little bites to satisfy your hunger for movie culture:

Alternate Decade Movie of the Day:

We’re about a week away from Captain Marvel hitting theaters. What if it had really come out 24 years ago? Nerdist recut and altered the latest trailer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe installment to make it look like a 1995 release:

Cosplay of the Day:

Speaking of Captain Marvel, we can expect a whole lot of fans cosplaying as the titular hero in the next week, but before then, let’s look at how easy some cats will have it getting their Goose cosplay together. It’s still cosplay if you don’t actually need a costume, right? And you’re a cat?

Fan Build of the Day:

With How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World heating up the box office this week, the guys at The Hacksmith show us how to create a life-size (and live-action) replica of Hiccup’s fire sword from the animated feature:

Actor in the Spotlight:

The best thing about Olivia Colman winning the Oscar for Best Actress this past weekend — aside from her deserving the honor on merit, of course — was getting another wonderful speech during the show. Movie Comparison of the Day:

Another big Oscar winner on Sunday was Bohemian Rhapsody along with its star, Rami Malek. With the extended version of the re-created Live Aid concert sequence in the movie now available,  here’s a video edited by Dimitri Bitu comparing that footage with the real thing side by side:

Song Parody of the Day:

Speaking of Oscar-winning movies and their musical performances, Honest Trailers takes on A Star is Born this week, complete with parodies of its Academy Award-honored original song “Shallow” and the non-nominated track “Maybe It’s Time”:

Video Essay of the Day:

Pawel Pawlikowski’s Cold War was nominated for three Oscars, and while it didn’t win anything last weekend, the black and white Polish movie has garnered quite a fanbase. Here’s one of its fans with a video essay for Film Persona on how it brings the musical concept of the leitmotif to cinema for powerful effect:

Behind-the-Scenes Video of the Day:

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, is back in theaters this weekend, including on IMAX screens, so here’s a recent behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie care of Adobe Creative Cloud:

Filmmaker in Focus:

This video is a few years old, but in honor of Neil Jordan’s latest, Greta, opening this weekend, it’s a good time to check it out. For Total Film, the director discusses his biggest movies, including The Crying Game, The Interview with a Vampire and Michael Collins:

Classic Movie Trailer of the Day:

In honor of this week’s release of Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral, which is apparently the last Madea movie ever, we’re looking back on past installments of the blockbuster comedy franchise. Here’s the original trailer for the sixth installment, Madea’s Big Happy Family, which was released in theaters on April 22, 2011:
