Chances are if you caught last year's breakout action flick The Raid, you've been itching for footage from the upcoming sequel The Raid 2: Berandal. Picking up where the first chaotic film left off, The Raid 2 looks to involve a number of major set pieces that look equally, if not more bonkers than the first film.

Twitch Film premiered the teaser trailer for the film earlier this morning, which finds star Iko Uwais behind bars, shadow-punching with a chalk outline on a wall while snippets from the film are spliced in between. The sequel centers on Uwais' character Rama going undercover to infiltrate a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover corruption in his police force.

Be warned that there are some violent snippets that warrant viewer discretion, but then, if you've clicked on this blog post to watch The Raid 2 teaser trailer, you probably already know that.

Screen Gem Films announced yesterday that it would be giving the film a domestic release, though no specific release date was given.

Are you pumped for more Raid action? If you missed out on the first film, it's currently available for purchase and streaming.
