Spider-Man Civil War

Spider-Man's New Title: Studios tend to like to keep information regarding their big movies as close to the chest as possible so that when they do finally make something official they can reveal it in the biggest way possible. Occasionally something gets out, though. And we're not talking about in a leaked, you-shouldn't-be-reading-this sense, but studios can only hide things up until a certain point before it becomes a piece of public record. That's the case with Internet domain names, and that's why a lot of people are now theorizing the next solo Spider-Man movie will be called Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The theorizing isn't too much of a leap, either, considering Sony Pictures has apparently registered the domain name SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com. There's nothing all that coy about that last part. Plus it's just a fun (hypothetical) title. It's a wink to the fans that know the next Spidey movie will be the first that has the involvement of Disney and Marvel Studios, and it's also already nudging audiences into a more youthful Spider-Man who would actually be attending a homecoming dance at high school.

Again, it's not an official title, but don't be surprised if it becomes one quickly. Either way, the movie directed by Jon Watts hits theaters on July 7, 2017.

Ben Affleck's solo Batman: The U.K. outlet Joe.ie [via WeGotThisCovered] caught up with Zack Snyder on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice U.K. press tour and asked him about the status of a solo Batman movie, something which Ben Affleck has already hinted that he's written. His answer is both reassuring for fans (it probably will happen) and frustrating (but not anytime soon).

“I keep working on him, he’s always said he’s a one-movie-at-a-time guy. He’s finishing editing his film, Live by Night, and then he comes to Justice League and then after that, I think he’s going to try and develop the story. Then we’ll see if he likes it.” When asked whether Affleck will also direct in addition to starring and writing the script, Snyder confirmed that’s the idea everyone has in mind. “Oh yeah, for sure. I think he would. I think that’s kind of the prerequisite, hopefully, for him doing [the film].”
