Anytime Keanu Reeves is doing press for a movie, someone has to get in a question about whether or not he’ll ever make another Bill and Ted movie. Though Reeves has come a long way since his days of long hair and surfer-speak, some recent comments have suggested that he and Bill and Ted co-star Alex Winter have actually been trying to work out a third installment of the series, even though it’s been 19 years since Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey hit theaters.

Bill and Ted

Speaking to MTV at the Toronto Film Festival, Reeves had this to say about a potential sequel: “We're trying. Alex and I are still friends and we're talking, and we're talking to Chris and Ed (screenwriters behind the first two films). They're going to try and see if they can write something. To me, I'd love to play the role. I'd love to work with Al and Chris and Ed again."

Though it’s fun to think of the possibilities of a third Bill and Ted movie, part of the fun of the original was its early ‘90s vibe and high school-themed spirit. We’d obviously lose that if they made a sequel all these years later, however it might be fun to see whatever happened to Bill and Ted. Are they married? Do they have kids who might be slackers like they were long ago? Could Reeves and Winter (who hasn’t acted much at all since their last excellent adventure) actually pull this off?

What do you think? Should they make another Bill and Ted movie, or would such a film be, like, totally bogus?
