Though you may not think so, according to those number-crunching freaks over at Forbes, Seth Rogen is the hardest working actor in Hollywood right now. You're probably wondering how Forbes actually comes up with this particular list, and I will tell you that they put it together by taking a look at actors (and actresses) who have scored top-billing in the most amount of "decently performing movies" over the course of the past five years. When I say "decently performing", I mean movies that earned more than $20 million at the box office. So, basically, you're looking for actors who had starring roles in the really popular films.
And, according to Forbes, the top actor is Seth Rogen, who had a whopping 10 films earn at least $20 million over the past five years – including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad. Following behind Rogen is a surprising find: Morgan Freeman, who was in nine films that grossed more than $20 million (among them are movies like The Bucket List and Evan Almighty). Rounding out the top five are Matt Damon (The Departed, Ocean's 13), Will Ferrell (Semi-Pro, Step Brothers) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Sherlock Holmes). The first actress doesn't arrive on the list until the number seven spot and it's Sandra Bullock, who won her first Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side in 2009, and appeared in a total of seven films over the past five years that grossed more than $20 million. The only other female in the top ten is Meryl Streep, who also had seven movies top $20 million at the box office.
