No, there's not a real-life sentient talking teddy bear out there making dirty jokes and obscene gestures, but an Egyptian photographer named Hossam Atef has shared his otherwise equivalent to the title character from the Seth MacFarlane movie Ted. That would make Atef the real-life John Bennett -- Mark Wahlberg's role opposite the MacFarlane-voiced bear, both of whom return June 26 in Ted 2. In images Atef posted to Behance, he and his much-larger teddy can be seen sharing a non-romantic Valentine's Day date as best buds.
Although the photo spread is titled "Tedd," it doesn't seem to have much to do with the hard-R rom-com. Atef introduces the pics by promoting being happy and enjoying being alone. "Only be happy with yourself," he writes. "Don't care about people, and don't wait from [sic] anyone to change your life. Be the change."
It's likely Atef knows the movie, though. One of his pictures with his teddy bear was taken at a cinema. Maybe they're watching Paddington. Check out a few of Atef's photos below and find the rest here.
