Rock of Ages Eyes Mary J. Blige, Tom Cruise
The Rock of Ages movie adaptation is beginning to take some shape, with producers apparently interested in bringing on Mary J. Blige to star in what would only be her second feature film. It's not yet known who the hip-hop/R&B artist will play from the stage musical, though reports indicate that she may play Justice, a strip club owner who gives our small-town aspiring singer a job after she's forced to leave the Bourbon Room club.
Additionally, Tom Cruise is still rumored to be interested in taking on a role. Sources claim he wants to play Stacee Jaxx, who's a loud-and-proud rocker with long, curly hair who wears tight pants and likes to belt out 80s tunes. Could you see Mr. Mission Impossible playing a loud, obnoxious 80's hair-band rocker? I definitely can!
'Jackass 3.5' to Arrive in March 2011
We already knew that the Jackass boys had planned for an additional release following the highly successful Jackass 3D, and that it'd be called Jackass 3.5, but we didn't know when, exactly, we'd get to watch it. Well, according to a press release from Paramount, they'll be releasing a bunch of new Jackass stunts online weekly in March before packaging it all up together to distribute as a feature film both digitally and through home video channels. So, we don't get the follow-up in 3D, but at least we get to watch it from the comfort of our own computers.
'Black Swan' Clip Sees Natalie Portman Dance to Swan Lake
I don't think you'll see a freakier pair of eyes than from Natalie Portman in this clip from Black Swan, which goes into limited release this weekend. Here, the actress – who's currently a frontrunner for an Oscar for this exact role – dances to the popular ballet Swan Lake. At one point she freakishly eyeballs the camera before spinning and sliding across the dance floor.
