Only a few weeks after Wolverine dropped his solo fist into theaters with not the greatest of buzz, Ryan Reynolds is talking about his own one-man effort in a Deadpool spin-off movie. (Sidenote: Am I the only one who gets dizzy counting through the spin-off franchise chain?) In an interview with HitFix, Reynolds talks about how far along they are in the process of making this Deadpool film a reality: "We're just trying to break a story right now and figure out who the villain is going to be and all that stuff. But, it's going to be just like the comic books. I'm gonna have a messed up face and you may see some flashbacks of Wade earlier in his life, but primarily what you see is what you get in the comics and that's the goal. And there is no better place to draw material from then the comics which are incredible."
Does a Deadpool movie excite you? Or are you just curious in whatever movie spins-off from this one?
MTV Debuts New 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' Clip and We Meet The Fallen
In case you didn't hear yet from the fans screaming in the streets, the title for this summer's Transformers sequel has a couple different meanings. One has to do with an actual character called The Fallen (pictured), who MTV introduced in full-action pose earlier today.
The image goes well with the extended clip that aired last night during the movie awards. It showed a pretty intense scene featuring Sam (Shia LaBeouf) and Mikaela (Megan Fox) hiding in a dilapidated hut while a group of giant Decepticons search for them. Universal's Mysterious Toy Movie
For the first time in their history, Mattel sold the film rights for a toy that hasn't been released yet and that no one knows anything about. Yes, seriously. Apparently Universal (who bought the rights) is that confident in this unknown mysterious toy that they want to turn it into a new movie-musical. Now that takes guts – congrats and good luck to you, Mr. and Mrs. Universal … I hope she grows up to be a box office champ.
The only hint Variety give to us is that the toy adds a "fresh twist to monster lore." That could be anything – from a Zac Efron-looking Frankenstein who's flunking out of high school to a transforming robotic vampire who doubles as a history teacher -- the possibilities are endless.
Anyone have any guesses as to what mysterious toy Universal bought from Mattel?
