Finally, the Twilight saga has its supermodel. E! Online is reporting that Canadian supermodel Noot Seear has landed the role of Heidi in New Moon, which was a part some thought was going to 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord after word got out that she had auditioned. Heidi, according to Stephenie Meyer’s novel, is described as a "fisher" – a violet-eyed vampire whose job it is to lead humans back to the Volturi vampires so they can eat. Ewww … so she’s, like, a weird supermodel butcher or something. Gross.

Seear, who began modeling at 13, has appeared in magazines like Elle, Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair. She joins the recently-announced Wolf Pack, who in the book help the humans in their fight against the vampires. Said Wolf Pack will be comprised of unknown American Indian actors, including Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman.

You may not know their names now, but wait until this puppy hits theaters and then you’ll see. These kids are poised to become instant stars.

Is Percy Jackson the Next Harry Potter?

That’s what Entertainment Weekly is saying about Percy Jackson, which just signed Uma Thurman and Pierce Brosnan to play Greek gods in the adaptation of Rick Riordan’s novel, The Lightning Thief (the first of five Percy Jackson novels). Chris Columbus – who directed the first two Harry Potter movies – is taking charge of this one as well, which tells of the half-human son of Zeus (named Percy – to be played by Logan Lerman) who goes on a quest across America to stop a war between the gods of Mount Olympus.

Thurman will play everyone’s favorite scary Greek god, Medusa, while Pierce Brosnan will take on the centaur god, Chiron. Sean Bean, Brandon T. Jackson, Kevin McKidd and Melina Kanakerides are also in the cast, and Fox 2000 is still looking to bring on actors to play Aries, Hades and Persephone before shooting begins next month in Vancouver.

Are you familiar with the Percy Jackson novels? Do you think this could become the next Harry Potter franchise?

Lindsay Lohan’s New Film Will Go Direct to Cable

Perhaps it’s a sign that moviegoers just aren’t that into Lindsay Lohan these days, because her latest film, titled Labor Pains, is apparently too painful for movie theaters. IMDB reports that the comedy – which stars Lohan as a woman who fakes being  pregnant in order to keep her job – will skip theaters and premiere on cable TV in America this July before eventually sneaking its way onto DVD in August.

I find it interesting, too, because folks seem to be so obsessed with what this girl does behind the scenes, but they’re not very interested in watching her in the scenes. What’s up with that? Currently there’s no word on what Lohan has lined up for herself next, though in a recent interview she did mention that she was working on a new film with Sean Penn. Um, okay … we’ll believe it when we see it.

Are you still interested in watching Lindsay Lohan up on the big screen, or have you been turned off by her off-screen antics?
