The Monster Maker - A Celebration of Makeup and Effects Legend Rick Baker

Rick Baker is a Hollywood legend. During his illustrious career that has spanned four decades and has earned him seven Oscars (so far) and countless other awards, Baker and his team continue to redefine the craft of creature makeup and effects. His resume includes films like An American Werewolf in London, Men in Black, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, along with Michael Jackson's groundbreaking video short "Thriller."

Baker's contributions to filmmaking are enormous and to honor his distinguished achievements, American Cinematheque at the Aero Theater and Hero Complex Gallery are hosting a two-day event that includes a double feature of Baker favorites Harry and the Hendersons and Ed Wood with a Q&A, as well as a dynamic art tribute event to Baker and his creatures that will feature original artwork by numerous artists, as well as pieces by Baker himself.
