By now you've witnessed the devastation in Haiti, and you understand that the folks there need an endless amount of help in order to rebuild every aspect of their lives. It might be hard to relate to that feeling from inside your comfortable living room, but it's certainly not hard to hang back tonight and tune in to the amazing global telethon that was pieced together by artists, entertainers and our most trusted world leaders all in the hopes of uniting as a world and as a human race in order to lend a helping hand to the folks in Haiti who so desperately need our support right now.

Some quick facts about the telethon:

  • It will air tonight at 8pm EST on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV,

So, basically, you won't have trouble finding it anywhere. But you probably want to know about performances, right. Well, check out this lineup:

Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, and Sting in New York City; Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles; and Coldplay, and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, and Rihanna in a newly added London location.

In addition to all these great performances (which will be available on iTunes for 99 cents following the telethon), personalities like George Clooney and Anderson Cooper will help guide you through the evening, giving you more news about Haiti, as well as info on how you can help from home.

I know I'll be tuning in for this tonight, so please join me and feel free to share your thoughts on the telethon, on Haiti and on the performances in our comments section below.

Hope for Haiti
