The first full-length trailer for Pixar's Brave has arrived online, providing some nice looks at the beautiful landscapes, epic female-lead battles and quirky character comedy the film promises when it hits theaters on June 22nd, 2012. Returning to an original idea for the first time since WALL-E (as well as introducing their first female lead), this latest Pixar flick (previously titled The Bear and the Bow) tracks a feisty princess (Kelly MacDonald) who accidentally brings turmoil to her kingdom when she defies a sacred custom and, as such, must rise up to make things right again.
This definitely looks to have all the right Pixar ingredients (we're loving those red-headed triplets already), though this trailer seems a bit all over the place and unfocused. We don't get a good sense of exactly what the film's central conflict is, though we do get the idea that it's about a princess who wants to be more than what's expected of her. From there we suppose Pixar will reveal more as we inch closer to the film's release.
Check it out below. What do you think of the new trailer? Where does this look like it will rank among Pixar's elite?
