They’re back! Those Penguins of Madagascar have returned and are about to set off on an adventure as secret agents. Dr. Octavius Brine, aka Dave, is the villainous purple octopus who is out to destroy the world and must be stopped.

Set your own scene by making penguins out of olives and cream cheese with little carrot beaks and feet. To add to the drama, make Dr. Brine rise up behind them in all his purple-eggplant glory, out of a sea of Baba Ganoush dip. Get ready for an edible spy adventure with Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private! This snack is so cute your kids may not even notice it’s healthy.

Olive penguins ingredients:

Black olives

Cream cheese, softened

One carrot, cut into rounds

Directions:

Cut one olive horizontally. Using a piping bag, carefully fill with cream cheese.

Cut a notch out of the carrot round and place the cream cheese filled olive on top, using a toothpick to hold it in place.

Place a small olive on top, with the opening facing out.

Take the notch from the carrot foot and place into the hole for the beak.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Dr. Brine ingredients:

Black olives

Cream cheese, softened

One eggplant

Dip of your choice

Directions:

Slice off the top of an eggplant approximately one-third of the way down. Reserve the top for later. Turn the cut eggplant over, cut side down and place in a dish of dip.

From the top of the reserved eggplant, slice rounds and cut them in half moons to create “legs.” Place alongside the body in the dip.

With cream cheese in a piping bag, pipe large oversized eyes on both sides of the eggplant.

Use a sliced olive to make the pupil of the eye. Serve with olive penguins.
