“It has all led to this…”

The second full trailer for Paranormal Activity 4 finally connects the new installment to the previous three. Katie (Katie Featherstone) and her abducted baby, Hunter, factor into the first part of the clip, passing the baton shortly after to tech-savvy teen Alice (Kathryn Newton) for a fresh set of scares.

“The activity is closer than you think.”

The Paranormal franchise, while still relying on “found footage,” has found ways to tweak its visuals and discover new thrills. The use of night-vision green – bathing a demonic child in disturbing light – is an effective look. And franchise newcomer Newton looks like she’s game for at least three more PA movies. The series might have its new Jamie Lee Curtis, its new Heather Langenkamp.

“See it everywhere Oct. 19.”
