Not long ago we brought word that Clash of the Titans was considering a 3D conversion in order to spice up the film's potential at the box office. Warner Bros. had ordered up some converted footage and they were going to see whether it was worth it or not. Well, cut to today and now The Hollywood Reporter says that not only did Warners love the footage for Clash of the Titans, but Harry Potter has also found his way into the mix.
Clash of the Titans has bumped back its release date to April 2nd in order to give folks enough time to convert the film over to 3D. Meanwhile, one imagines Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will hold on to its November 19th release date even though it too is being converted to 3D. As I said previously, by this time next year it will probably become the standard that all big, hotly-anticipated films be converted to 3D or filmed in 3D, especially after the technology helped Avatar become the highest grossing film of all time.
Those who aren't hip to 3D need not worry, though, because both Clash of the Titans and Harry Potter and theDeathly Hallows will also be available in standard 2D, too.
