Tickets are now on sale for Next Goal Wins. This sports underdog story, directed by Taika Waititi, comes to theaters on November 17.
True story: The 2001 American Samoa soccer team was really bad. Like, “loses a match 31-0” bad. So, a few years later, the team brought in coach Thomas Rongen (played here by Michael Fassbender) to get them into some sort of competitive shape… if he can keep his temper under control.
In our exclusive clip, the team goes into battle on the field with a traditional Samoan war dance. We can tell they’re fiercely dedicated to the endeavor, but will that translate into actually getting the ball into the goal?
