Wonder Woman: Warner Bros. has made some changes in its release slate. The studio announced that Wonder Woman will move up to June 2, 2017 (avoiding a shared release date with Transformers 5). It now shares a release date with Bad Boys 3. Warner Bros. also moved its live-action/CGI version of The Jungle Book, Jungle Book: Origins starring Andy Serkis, back a year to Oct. 19, 2018, no doubt to give it some separation from Jon Favreau's Jungle Book movie coming out April 15. The studio also added two more untitled DC films for Oct. 5, 2018, and Nov. 1, 2019, and an "event film" Oct. 6, 2017.
Don't Breathe: Jane Levy is featured In a new photo from Don't Breathe, a thriller that is heading to theaters on August 26. Reuniting with director Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead), Levy stars as a desperate young woman who breaks into the house of a blind man (Stephen Lang) in an abandoned Detroit neighborhood, only to discover that the intended crime is not as easy as it looked. Dylan Minette and Donald Zovatto also star. [Dread Central]
The Outsider: Academy Award winner Jared Leto, who will soon be seen in Suicide Squad, will next star in The Outsider. He'll be tackling the role of an imprisoned American soldier in Japan who escapes thanks to his Yakuza cellmate. Then he must repay his debt in the extremely hazardous criminal underworld. The thriller is expected to begin production in the fall. [Variety]
Dunkirk: Cillian Murphy will reteam with director Christopher Nolan for the action thriller Dunkirk. The movie, detailing the large-scale evacuation of Allied solders during World War II, will revolve around young soldiers, with Murphy joining a supporting cast that already includes Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh. Murphy and Nolan previously worked together on Nolan's Batman trilogy as well as Inception. Dunkirk is set for release on July 21, 2017. [The Wrap]
I Am Wrath Trailer: John Travolta seeks justice for his murdered wife in I Am Wrath. As the first trailer explains, the police are no help to him, so he sets out to catch the killer on his own. Christopher Meloni and Rebecca De Mornay also star; look for the movie in theaters on May 13. [Movieclips]
