One of the finest directors of the last half century, Mike Nichols has left and gone away. The end of that sentence should hopefully remind you of his best known movie, The Graduate, for which he won the Oscar for Best Director in 1968. He was also nominated for helming Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Silkwood and Working Girl. The Remains of the Day, which Nichols produced, was a Best Picture nominee.

Going in Style: Dustin Hoffman is in talks to join Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in a remake of the gentle 1979 comedy Going in Style.
