Ant-Man: New photos from Ant-Man feature the stars in various combinations. First we have Paul Rudd (as the titular hero) flanked by Evangeline Lilly and her estranged father, Michael Douglas (as Hank Pym, technology creator). Next we have Lilly, Douglas and the very tiny villain Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll), and lastly a picture of suited-up Rudd, facing off with an ant. Look for the movie in theaters on July 17. [Empire]
It: Cary Fukunaga (TV's True Detective), who was set to direct a two-part big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's massive novel It, has departed the project. Production was scheduled to begin this summer, with Will Poulter (We're the Millers) in negotiations to play the villainous lead role, Pennywise, but now all plans are on hold. King's novel revolves around Pennywise, a shape-shifting creature who preys on children, and a group of friends who battle him, first as children, then as adults. [The Wrap]
Justice League Mortal: George Miller is now riding high on the success of Mad Max: Fury Road, but back in 2009 his plans for Justice League Mortal fell apart. The DC superhero team-up would have starred Armie Hammer as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, and Adam Brody as the Flash. Now director Ryan Unicomb has announced that a documentary is in the works about the doomed movie. [Heat Vision]
Jurassic World Video: In a new featurette for Jurassic World, Steven Spielberg talks about the goals of the latest installment to a franchise that he created.
