La La Land: Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, who previously showed great chemistry in Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad, are now in talks to join the musical La La Land. The modern day-set but old fashioned song-and-dance style movie is writer-director Damien Chazelle's follow-up to Whiplash. The two actors would replace departed leads Miles Teller and Emma Watson. Untitled Shanghai SWAT Project: Stuntmen turned directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, who made their mark last year with John Wick (pictured above), have signed on to a period-set action movie based on the true story of the first SWAT team. The currently untitled movie will focus on real-life British soldier William E. Fairbairn, who is said to have been a major influence on the James Bond character. [Tracking-Board]

 

Netflix: Appropriately starting with the new Marvel series Daredevil, about a blind superhero, Netflix is implementing an audio description function to its original programming in order for the blind to enjoy more of the company's movie and TV show offerings. Other popular series including House of Cards will follow with the new feature, as will licensed content once Netflix works out the details with studios and distributors. [The Wrap]
