Interstellar: We still have a couple more months before Christopher Nolan's new sci-fi film arrives in theaters, so let's tide ourselves over for now with six new images, including shots featuring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and David Gyasi in space and Jessica Chastain and Casey Affleck back on Earth, plus two behind-the-scenes shots. All Quiet on the Western Front: With the 100th anniversary of World War I well underway (through November 2018), it makes sense to see another version of Erich Maria Remarque's novel All Quiet on the Western Front being made, even if the 1930 adaptation is an Oscar-winning classic. This new one will "capture the gritty realism and unforgiving nature of trench warfare" and be directed by Roger Donaldson (Cocktail; The November Man), who is making it personal because his grandparents fought in the Great War. Real Genius: Given the popularity of The Big Bang Theory, it makes sense to give another geek sitcom a shot, and one is indeed now in development based on the '80s movie Real Genius. This won't be a college show, though, as only Val Kilmer's party-nerd character seems to be making the transition. From writers of Workaholics and Parks and Recreation, this is to be a workplace show focused on that character and a new employee who presumably is the equivalent of the Gabe Jarret role. [Deadline]
The Babadook trailer: Following its latest buzz and acclaim from Fantastic Fest, where Movies.com labeled it one half of the best horror double features of the year, The Babadook has a new full-length trailer that offers a little more than the scare montage of the earlier version.
