Jurassic World 3: Back in July, we heard about a sequel to Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World, with Trevorrow (above) returning to write the script with his partner Derek Connolly. Now comes word that Trevorrow has plans for not just one, but two sequels. Studio executive Donna Langley says that Trevorrow is "busy working on an outline… with Steven [Spielberg]. And they have an idea for the next two movies actually. It was designed as a trilogy, unbeknown to us. It's a happy surprise." Jurassic World 2 is scheduled for release on June 22, 2018. [THR]

Lego Dimensions

The Lego Movie 2: The sequel to The Lego Movie may feature a time-traveling doctor. Warner Bros. made a deal with the BBC enabling the depiction of Doctor Who in the recent video game Lego Dimensions (above), and now the corporate entities are reportedly in talks for Doctor Who to make an appearance in The Lego Movie 2. It's not known whether a cameo or a more substantial role is envisioned. We have a little time to wait; the movie is set for May 18, 2018. [io9]

Look for it in theaters on August 4, 2017. [The Wrap]
