Resident Evil: The Final Chapter: Since production began, Milla Jovovich has been sharing photos from the franchise-concluding Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and now she's provided the first look at the movie itself. Admittedly, the screen capture of Jovovich as Alice looks pretty rough, but that's balanced by a photo of the evident joy of the actors on set. The film is heading for theaters on January 27, 2017. The Gray Man: Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) is in talks to star in The Gray Man, based on a novel by Mark Greaney about a a man who is "an expert CIA op turned assassin… forced to evade adversaries as he saves the lives of daughters he didn’t know he had." Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War) wrote a version of the script that once attracted the interest of Brad Pitt to star; if Theron comes on board, we imagine the script will be retooled for her. Road House: Nick Cassavetes will write and direct a new version of the 1989 action movie Road House. Cassavetes is known for directing films with strong female characters, such as My Sister's Keeper (above), as well as the action-oriented Alpha Dog. The original starred Patrick Swayze as a bouncer who is hired by a nightclub in a small Missouri town to deal with a swarm of local criminals. Ronda Rousey will star in the remake. [Variety]
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Trailer: The first international teaser for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies establishes the movie's basis in the Jane Austen classic before demonstrating why the ladies are so well suited to deal with zombies. Lily James, Bella Heathcote, Suki Waterhouse and Lena Headey star; the movie will open in theaters on February 5, 2016. [Movieclips]
