Gone Girl

The Accountant: Ben Affleck, who stars in Gone Girl (opening in theaters tomorrow), is in talks to star as The Accountant. The role is more deadly than it sounds: Affleck would play a mild-mannered accountant "who moonlights as a lethal assassin." He still needs to finish filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but then will have time next year before starting work on his own directorial effort, the Prohibition-era drama Live by Night, in July. I Am Legend

I Am Legend: Richad Matheson's apocalyptic vampire novel I Am Legend, first published in 1954, has served as direct inspiration for three movies so far, most recently a 2007 blockbuster starring Will Smith. Warner Bros. has turned to Gary Graham to rework the script, described as a sci-fi version of the classic John Wayne Western The Searchers, into a reboot for a proposed new I Am Legend franchise -- presumably with a new star, since Smith is notoriously resistant to sequels and prequels. [Deadline]
