The Fantastic Four: Director Josh Trank (Chronicle) has shared the first official behind-the-scenes photos from The Fantastic Four. Due in theaters on August 7, the movie teams Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell as the titular superheroes. Trank confirmed that it's an origin story, and revealed that David Cronenberg's Scanners and The Fly were "big influences on the look of the film." Star Wars: A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Gary Whitta, the writer for the first Star Wars spin-off movie, had departed the project. Now comes word that Academy Award-nominated writer Chris Weitz (About a Boy, Disney's upcoming Cinderella), is replacing him. Hurricane Katrina: David Oyelowo and Ava DuVernay, the star and director, respectively, of the Academy Award-nominated Selma, will reteam for a movie about Hurricane Katrina.
