Doctor Strange: With Joaquin Phoenix apparently out of the mix, Marvel is still searching for the right actor to star as Doctor Strange. Reportedly Colin Farrell (above in Saving Mr. Banks) is the latest possibility, joining Benedict Cumberbatch and Keanu Reeves as leading candidates for the role. Supposedly others being considered include Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Justin Theroux and Oscar Isaac. The movie is scheduled for release in 2016. [The Wrap]
X-Men: Apocalypse: Tom Hardy (in The Drop, above), who played the villainous Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, is now being courted to star as a villainous, extremely powerful mutant named En Sabah Nur in Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. The character was featured in the closing credits of this year's X-Men: Days of Future Past, set in ancient Egypt. The sequel is due in theaters on May 27, 2016. [Cinema Blend]
Lucas Museum of Narrative Art: George Lucas provided more details about the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which will be constructed in Chicago. He credited his wife for talking to Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who sparked to the idea. Lucas wants to showcase his popular art collection and the work of visual effects companies such as his own Industrial Light and Magic. John Wick Clip: Keanu Reeves gets an unexpected visitor in a new clip from John Wick. The movie, which opens on October 24, follows the titular character (Reeves) as he seeks vengeance against a powerful criminal organization that in turn puts out a bounty on his head.
