Triple Frontier: Channing Tatum (Magic Mike XXL, above left) and Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road, above right) may be teaming up for a crime thriller. Both actors are in early talks to star in Triple Frontier, to be directed by J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year). The movie is set in a notorious crime zone in South America, where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay meet. [Variety]
Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo: A documentary about actor Danny Trejo (Boost, above) is on its way. As a teenager, Trejo was drawn into a criminal lifestyle and spent years in prison. After he was released, he began helping at-risk youth and a few years later found work on the set of Runaway Train, launching his entertainment career. The doc, directed by Brett Harvey, is aiming for release in 2018. [THR]
The Predator: Trevante Rhodes, who portrays the adult version of the lead character in the acclaimed indie Moonlight (above), has joined the cast of The Predator. Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn star. Rhodes will reportedly play Holbrook's best friend; both characters are ex-Marines. Shane Black wrote the script with Fred Dekker and will direct. [THR]
