Green Zone [watch the trailer]

It's not exactly Bourne 4, but if you watched this trailer without knowing the name of the film, you may indeed question whether or not this was some secret Bourne sequel that no one told you about. Instead, though, it's called Green Zone – and it looks very Bourne-esque because the film reunites Matt Damon (who played Jason Bourne) with director Paul Greengrass (who directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum).

So, yeah, you'll see a lot of that familiar Matt Damon ass-kickery set to some quick, shaky camera cuts, however this flick is completely different from that series. In Green Zone, Damon stars as a rogue Army officer who's searching for Weapons of Mass Destruction during the Iraq war. Usually moviegoers don't want their action to mix with a whole bunch of politics, but they'll sell this as a Bourne-esque film and it should do well when it hits theaters next March. What do you think?

Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball [watch the trailer]

You may have heard about it awhile back, but today Universal Home Entertainment announced a direct-to-DVD release date of January 19th for Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball. The film, which also received a trailer to go along with its release date announcement, is a prequel that pretty much takes the story from Smokin' Aces and applies it to another guy. So, instead of a group of assassins targeting Jeremy Piven, they're now going after an FBI agent played by Tom Berenger.

Since it's a prequel, a couple of the more colorful assassins from the original Smokin' Aces have returned for another go-round, and based on the trailer the film definitely looks to amp up the blood, guts and glory factor. Imagine if the film downed several Red Bull energy drinks and then spilled its guts out on screen. Yup, that about sums up the trailer for Smokin' Aces 2.

Based on both trailers, which movie are you more interested in seeing?
